Bespoke jewellery
An idea, a gemstone, a bond to celebrate.
In the De Giorgi Gioielli goldsmith’s workshop in Locarno, Ticino, Giorgio designs and handcrafts bespoke jewellery, including pieces in gold with diamonds and other precious gemstones. Giorgio is a goldsmith and IGI gemmologist specialising in diamonds. A ring, a pair of wedding bands or a pendant begins with a conversation with you: his craftsmanship guides the choice of materials, proportions and construction.
ONE BOND, TWO RINGS
Wedding rings
Handcrafted wedding rings in white, yellow or rose gold and silver, designed with you to wear every day. Discover Giorgio’s work, from wax models to the finished rings, and the stories of those who entrusted us with a new design or a family wedding ring.

WHERE GEMSTONE MEETS DESIGN
Jewellery with precious gemstones
A diamond, tanzanite or opal can be the starting point for a personal design. With Giorgio, we consider the gemstone, the metal and the setting, bringing your aesthetic wishes together with the practical needs of making and wearing the piece.

COLOURS THAT FEEL LIKE YOU
Gemstone and pearl jewellery
Bracelets, necklaces and personal compositions. A combination of colours, a pearl or a matching set can inspire a piece of jewellery designed together with you.

A meaningful commission begins with trust
Commissioning a piece of jewellery means entrusting someone with a wish, a special occasion or a memory. In our workshop, you work with us directly: you share what you imagine and Giorgio explores how to bring it to life. We discuss materials, proportions, an indicative budget and timing before work begins.
How is bespoke jewellery created?
We begin with your idea, a gemstone or a reference. Giorgio brings his goldsmithing expertise to the design, considering shape, setting, finishes and comfort. Depending on the piece, the process may include illustrative drawings, wax models and fittings. The quotation and production times are agreed for each commission.
Can I try the piece before it is made in gold?
For bespoke gold commissions, Giorgio often prefers to make a first version in silver. For a ring, this lets you wear it, feel how it sits on your finger and see its shape and proportions in person. After the fitting and any agreed adjustments, work proceeds in gold. This step is considered individually for each design.
Which materials can we choose?
Our bespoke work includes pieces in gold, including 18 carat (750), and sterling silver 925, with diamonds, other precious gemstones, natural gemstones and pearls, depending on the design. We choose together, considering the desired result, how the jewellery will be worn and your budget.
What piece do you have in mind?
Tell us about your idea, the occasion or the gemstone you would like to start with. Together with Giorgio, we will explore how to bring it to life in our Locarno workshop.
