Bespoke wedding rings

Bespoke jewellery

Two wedding bands, one bond to celebrate.

Wedding rings are pieces to wear every day and choose with confidence. At the De Giorgi Gioielli goldsmith’s workshop in Locarno, Ticino, Giorgio designs and handcrafts bespoke wedding bands in gold and silver, bringing his expertise to your idea. Materials, proportions, finishes and comfort are discussed directly with you. Giorgio also restores family wedding rings so they can become part of a new chapter in their story.

Aurora and Giuseppe: 18 carat white gold wedding bands

For Aurora and Giuseppe, Giorgio created two wedding bands in 18 carat white gold (750), united by an irregular, sculptural texture. The bands share the same design language, adapted to the proportions of each ring.

The story unfolds through three images: an illustrative sketch, the original wax models and the finished wedding rings worn by the couple.

2. The wax models

In the wax models, the shape takes on volume and the texture is already visible. These are the waxes from which the wedding bands were made.

3. The rings on their hands

The journey ends on Aurora and Giuseppe’s hands: two personal rings designed to accompany their life together.

18 carat yellow gold wedding bands

Made in 18 carat yellow gold (750), these wedding bands combine a satin finish on the band with polished upper and lower edges. The contrast between the soft, understated surface and the bright contours creates two lines of light that frame the ring and enhance its shape. The V-shaped detail adds a distinctive finishing touch.

Matteo and Anna: one wedding ring, two generations

From one Matteo to another. From one marriage to the next.

For his wedding to Anna, Matteo received a special gift from his grandmother Rosa: the yellow gold wedding ring of his grandfather Matteo, whose name he bears. Rosa had treasured it over the years, and Giorgio restored it, ready to accompany a new life together.

Their classic yellow gold wedding rings also tell a story of connection between generations: a family memory that lives on every day.

Braided wedding bands in sterling silver 925

Two paths that meet, intertwine and become one.

These sterling silver 925 wedding bands are formed from a handcrafted braid, a symbol of a bond built day by day. Made by Giorgio in our Locarno workshop, they express togetherness through the movement of the metal.

How do we design your wedding rings?

We begin with a conversation with you: your wishes, style, sizes, preferred material and indicative budget help Giorgio assess the possibilities. Gold or silver, the profile of the bands and their finish are defined through direct discussion. The quotation and production times are agreed before work begins.

A personal relationship, from the first conversation to the finished rings

Entrusting us with your wedding rings means sharing a personal project with the person who makes them. Giorgio guides you through the choices and any planned fittings, working towards a shape you can see, understand and feel is yours. The photographs and stages described on this page show real examples of our workshop’s work.

A silver fitting before the gold

For bespoke gold designs, Giorgio often prefers to make a first version in silver. This lets you try the ring on your finger, feel its fit and see its shape and proportions in person.

For couples, it is an opportunity to wear a first version of their wedding rings and discuss any changes together. Only after the fitting and agreed adjustments does work proceed in gold. This process is offered according to the needs of each design.

What does 750 gold mean?

18 carat gold, also marked 750, contains 75% pure gold. The chosen alloy contributes to the colour of the metal: white and yellow gold offer different interpretations of the same idea.

Can we personalise the finish and add gemstones?

Yes. Together we can explore surface finishes, from smooth and polished to satin or textured, as well as the profile and proportions of the bands. The design may also include one or more diamonds or other gemstones: a visible detail, or a small stone in a more discreet position on the part of the band facing the palm.

Giorgio, a goldsmith and IGI gemmologist specialising in diamonds, discusses gemstone choice and placement with you, considering the metal, the ring’s structure and comfort to find a solution suitable for everyday wear.
