Bespoke gemstone and pearl jewellery
Colours and proportions chosen together with you.
At the De Giorgi Gioielli workshop in Locarno, Ticino, Giorgio creates bespoke necklaces and bracelets with gemstones and pearls and personalises pendants to your wishes. Individual elements, combinations and proportions are chosen to create jewellery suited to your style and measurements. Pearls from a family necklace can also become the starting point for a new piece.
Sergio: a bespoke necklace and bracelet
Sergio, from Lugano, loves necklaces and bracelets with a distinctive character and combinations that stand out. For him, bespoke work also means finding lengths and proportions to suit his neck and wrist: measurements that call for a piece made especially for him.

A necklace designed for the person wearing it
The necklace combines silver and hematite elements, alternating surfaces, shapes and reflections. Its length and the arrangement of the elements are designed for Sergio, so the piece finds the right balance when worn.
Bespoke work includes both composition and fit: the character of the jewellery should reflect the person, with proportions that suit them.

A bracelet selected stone by stone
For the multicoloured cat’s-eye bracelet, Giorgio individually selected the most beautiful elements from several strands purchased at specialist shops. The composition grew from this selection, bringing colours and reflections together until the desired balance was found.
The bracelet was then made to fit Sergio’s wrist, maintaining a balanced combination throughout the piece.
Isy’s necklace: three family pearls
For a dear friend’s thirtieth birthday, Isy wanted a gift with personal meaning. She chose to share a family memory: three pearls from a necklace that belonged to her grandmother.

A memory takes a new shape
Giorgio transformed the three pearls into a vertical pendant, paired with a delicate silver chain with zirconia, the same chain used for our Sbrilluccichina necklace. Its points of light complement the lustre of the pearls in a delicate composition.
Three pearls for her thirty years, with a reference to past, present and future. A piece that connects the grandmother’s memory with a new bond: because friends are family too.
The commission shows another possibility of bespoke work: giving cherished elements a new form, preserving their sentimental value and making them part of a new story.
A silver pendant with a personalised engraving
A client regularly wore identification tags carrying her personal details and allergies, to keep with her in case of an emergency. She wanted something closer to her own taste: a pendant she would enjoy wearing that could also carry this information.

A solution designed around the request
Giorgio adapted the silver pendant with zirconia by adding a silver plate on the back, laser-engraved with the health information specified by the client.
The decorative front retains its sparkle, while the back carries the requested personalisation. An example of how a conversation with the wearer can also guide a functional alteration to a piece of jewellery.

How do we create bespoke necklaces and bracelets?
We begin with your preferred style and your neck or wrist measurements. Together with Giorgio, we consider length, the size of the elements, combinations and comfort to define a personal composition. Materials, the quotation and timing are agreed before work begins.
Can we use pearls from a family necklace?
Yes, we can assess their condition and explore how they could be used in a new piece. As with Isy’s commission, a few pearls can become a pendant: the design is developed around the available elements and the desired result.
Can a pendant be personalised with an engraving?
We can consider adding a dedication or personal information, depending on the material, shape and available space. For the pendant shown on this page, Giorgio added a silver plate that was laser-engraved.
